Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all transactions/contracts between us (Video Impact UK) and our clients/customers. Please read these carefully to familiarise yourself with our practice and operations.

For good reason we only recommend and use ‘Traceable’ and ‘Insured’ delivery services (see our ‘Posting‘ page for details). These services offer signed delivery, tracking and varying degrees of insurance, depending on your choice of service. If for any reason a dispute is raised regarding loss or damage of your goods in transit, your initial claim should be directed towards the delivery service used. We will of course do all we can to assist with the process and provide any information necessary.
All Productions and original materials are returned via either Royal Mail Special Delivery or Door-to-door Courier service. We can provide returns via Recorded Delivery if specifically requested, however we do not recommend this service for valuable items or items that are un-replaceable and of a personal nature.

If requested, we can arrange to send your original materials to you after you have confirmed delivery of the production items. This method ensures that at least one copy of your order reaches you ‘Safe n Sound’. If you require this service, please advise us prior to completion of your production. (in most cases this is not necessary as we hold copies of your transfer on our servers for 30 days). If you are unsure about this, please ask.

If you require additional insurance coverage for your returned goods, please let us know what coverage you require prior to dispatch. Standard coverage offered by both the Post Office and Courier services is normally limited to £50. If you require more insurance you must specify this prior to our posting of your goods. Video Impact UK cannot accept any claims for lost or damaged goods in transit, and all claims must be made directly to the insurer.

Video Impact UK cannot be held responsible for any consequential loss or damage caused as a result of repairs carried out or attempted to be carried out on damaged media. We will of course take every precaution to preserve any undamaged portion of your tape during the repair process. We do not recommend customers play repaired tapes. The repair is only to allow us to transfer the content to a more stable media.

The DVD-R disks that we use are generally regarded as being the most compatible disks currently available. These disks will operate perfectly in most DVD players (or PC DVD-ROM drives). However it is the customers responsibility to be aware of any DVD compatibility issues relating to DVD-R media prior to ordering. We will assist and do everything we can to make sure your production is what you hoped for, but we cannot be responsible for incompatibility issues.

Because most of our services require careful and time consuming preparation, our turnaround times are variable and dependent upon work loads. Average turnaround time is 5 to 10 working days. However, during peak periods such as Christmas etc. these times may well be extended.
Our ‘Fast-Track Service’ guarantees turnaround within 1-3 working days of receipt, depending on the size and complexity of order. However, this service must be requested and confirmed prior to sending us your order. You will be given a ‘Fast-Track’ number to include with your order. (This service may NOT be available during peak periods of high volume orders such as Christmas).

The Customer is solely responsible for the legality of all materials & content supplied to Video Impact UK. We respect and acknowledge the privacy & confidentiality of your personal details and the content of any materials you have supplied to us. We do not disclose details of clients, their orders or their requests to any third party under any circumstances.
You will not receive any unsolicited emails or correspondence from Video Impact UK other than to inform you of the progress or status of your current order.

Payment for service is invoiced AFTER we have completed your order. We do not require up-front payments for any service except for our ‘Review‘ Service.
Invoices will be sent via email immediately on completion of the order and followed-up by phone within 7 days if payment has not been made. Payments are due within 15 working days of notification of completion of the order. Non-payment will be construed as a cancellation of contract and the production may be disposed of. In these cases the original items may be claimed and returned on receipt of a ‘Cost Coverage Fee’ equal to 50% of the original invoice.

Credit/Debit Card Payments: You may pay directly by using your Credit/Debit Card via phone. A 3% Surcharge is applicable for all Credit/Debit card payments.

EU regulation states that customers have the right to cancel a purchase within 7 days with the exception of services that start before this cooling off period. For any service that is ordered from Video Impact UK the service is deemed to have started as soon as the order is physically processed.

We will review and advise on any corrective or remedial matters brought to our attention within 60 days of a purchase. However financial liability is limited to the provision and/or replacement of any material goods and under no circumstances will any form of refund or complaint be entertained outside of the 60 day notification period.
These Terms & Conditions shall be construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
