Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all transactions/contracts between us (Video Impact UK) and our clients/customers. Please read these carefully to familiarise yourself with our practice and operations.

DELIVERY & POSTAGE

For good reason we only recommend and use ‘Traceable’ and ‘Insured’ delivery services (see our ‘Post It’ page for details). These services offer signed delivery, tracking and varying degrees of insurance, depending on your choice of service. If for any reason a dispute is raised regarding loss or damage of your goods in transit, your initial claim should be directed towards the delivery service used. We will of course do all we can to assist with the process and provide any information necessary.
All Productions and original materials are returned via either Royal Mail Next Day Special Delivery or Door-to-door Courier service. We can provide returns via Recorded Delivery if specifically requested, however we do not recommend this service for valuable items or items that are of value in a meaningful and personal nature.

SAFE N SOUND

If requested, we can arrange to send your original materials to you after you have confirmed delivery of the production items. This method ensures that at least one copy of your order reaches you ‘Safe n Sound’. If you require this service, please advise us prior to completion of your production. (in most cases this is not necessary as we hold copies of your transfer on our servers for 30 days). If you are unsure about this, please ask.

INSURANCE

If you require additional insurance coverage for your returned goods, please let us know what coverage you require prior to dispatch. Standard coverage on all items is£50. If you require more insurance, we can quote this for you. Video Impact UK cannot accept any claims for lost or damaged goods in transit, and all claims must be made directly to the insurer.

TAPE REPAIRS

Video Impact UK cannot be held responsible for any consequential loss or damage caused as a result of repairs carried out or attempted to be carried out on damaged media. We will of course take every precaution to preserve any undamaged portion of your tape during the repair process.

DVD-R or DVD+R COMPATIBILITY

The DVD-R & DVD+R disks that we use are generally regarded as being the most compatible disks currently available. These disks will operate perfectly in most DVD players (or PC DVD-ROM drives). However it is the customers responsibility to be aware of any DVD compatibility issues relating to DVD-R and DVD+R media prior to ordering. We will assist and do everything we can to make sure your production is what you hoped for, but we cannot be responsible for incompatibility issues.

TURNAROUND TIMES

Because most of our services require careful and time consuming processes, our turnaround times are variable and dependent upon current work loads. Average turnaround time is 5 to10 working days. However, during peak periods such as Xmas etc. these times may well be extended.
If available, our ‘Fast-Track Service’ guarantees turnaround within 3-5 working days of receipt, depending on the size and complexity of order. However, this service must be requested and confirmed prior to sending us your order. You will be given a ‘Fast-Track’ number to include with your order. (This service is NOT available during peak periods of high volume orders).

We will honor any changed price as stated in the requested price list if your order is received within 2 weeks of a change in pricing. If our new prices are lower than the price list you received, you will receive the lower of the two prices.

Invoices will be sent via email immediately on completion of the order. Payment is due within 7 working days of dispatch of invoice.
